Charles Chin was born and raised in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. The son of two scientists, he went on to become a scientist himself, and in doing so realized he needed a creative outlet to offset the rigid worldview of doctoral degrees and data science. He still writes about science, but does so with humor and optimism, choosing to see things as they could be. Should you come across Charles in the wild, know that he prefers rum over whiskey.
